Good morning, As a relative newbie in ORSP, I would like to hire an external consultant over our winter break (5 weeks over) to review current IACUC documents, procedures, and policies and recommend changes where needed. Our actual facilities are small, two rodent laboratory areas and two aquarium/terrarium facilities. Our office (me) would implement the changes. I have a consultant in mind, who is a highly experienced researcher and administers IACUC at a nearby research facility. She has overseen similar updating of policies and procedures at their facilities for years. I have a couple of questions if anyone has thoughts on this: 1. Is five weeks a reasonable time for her part, which would be procedures and policies on paper? 2. What is a reasonable payment for such services? 3. Are there issues I should address? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. Best regards, John ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John M.
