Erika,

Maybe I am missing something, but don't you need to work from the salary
and then add the applicable fringe and indirects.  This is the closest I
could come to a salary amount that almost works: salary  $5900, fringe
$1770, and indirects $2360, but you will be $30 over. That's a start
anyway. Good luck.

Good morning,

I am stumped on how to figure this question out.  Not only do I need the
answer but I am looking for the formula to figure it out.

Institution wants to rebudget $10,000 from equipment into salary and
fringe. F&A rate is 40%, fringe rate is 30%.

a. How much will be available for salary and fringe if the F&A base is S&W?
