Subject: [RESADM-L] Question regarding DOE continuation funding

Hi all –
We have a DOE project that began in 2009 which includes 2 subs, that recently received renewal funding. The budget submitted for the competitive renewal was treated as a new budget would be – our current IDC rate and IDCs charged for the first $25k of each sub.
Since this is technically a ‘continuation’ of the project funding would this be correct? It just seems outlandish for a project that may have originated decades ago (the case with another DOE grant we have) to only allow idc on the first $25k, way back when, but we can’t really identify anything in the guidelines or agency-specific documentation or the circulars, to support this.
Thanks in advance for any advice –
Bev R.
