Amy, when you save your sheet, just choose "Excel 97-2003 Workbook" or "Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 Workbook" from the dropdown menu that says "Save as type." The sheet uploads to FastLane for me when I do this. -----Original Message----- From: Research Administration List [mailto:xxxxxx@hrinet.org] On Behalf Of Amy Velasco Sent: Thursday, January 06, 2011 2:10 PM To: xxxxxx@hrinet.org Subject: Re: [RESADM-L] technical question about NSF FastLane Spreadsheet Support I asked about this a while ago and was told by FastLane Helpdesk that the spreadsheet can't be used with Office 2007, and they didn't have a plan in place to update it. The IT gurus at my institution at the time figured out how to allow the NSF spreadsheet to open and save in Excel 2003 so we could continue to use it, but I have no idea how they managed it. I'm at another institution now, and I haven't been able to get the spreadsheet to work, or find someone in IT who can create the workaround for me. Frustrating. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Amy Velasco Director, Office of Sponsored Research University of La Verne 1950 Third Street La Verne, CA 91750 (909) 593-3511, ext. 4772 http://www.laverne.edu/ Confidential Note The information in this email and all attachments are confidential information only for use of the individual or entity addressed. We have macro function turned on as well as the VBA indicator under Excel security. Have others run into this?
