POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
The UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School Office of Research and Sponsored
Programs, a pre-award office, is seeking a Grants and Contracts
Administrator to manage their $45 million portfolio.
The Grants and Contracts Administrator assists faculty in identifying
federal, state and private foundation funding opportunities, monitors and
reviews proposals for conformance with sponsor and University guidelines,
negotiates contracts and agreements, handles all non-accounting post-award
administrative issues, and provides support to the Biomedical Research
Advisory Committee.
The successful applicant will:
· Possess a thorough knowledge of the pre-award process, a demonstrated
ability to draft and negotiate industry agreements, subcontracts
· Be familiar with federal regulatory requirements
· Have excellent oral and written communication skills
· Be service oriented
· Function well under multiple-deadline pressure
· Be familiar with electronic research administration
· Possess excellent computer skills and be proficient in spreadsheet and
database development
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of three years
experience in research administration, preferably in a university setting.
