We would like to talk with anyone who has successfully negotiated an
agreement (purchase order or other) with Pratt & Whitney--specifically the
Government Engines and Space Propulsion division. We've seen their Purchase
Order Terms & Conditions and there were the usual issues of liability and
intellectual property we're having a hard time negotiating (especially when
they are using their internal R&D money and not Federal funds). However, we
have heard that other universities may have been successful in entering
into another type of agreement, more along the lines of an umbrella
agreement or a university-industry partnership/cooperative agreement. Any
help you can give us would be greatly appreciated.
