Some URLs are allowable: (in SF424 guidelines for biosketches) "Citations that are not covered by The Public Access Policy, but are publicly available in a free, online format may include URLs." -----Original Message----- From: Research Administration List [mailto:xxxxxx@lists.healthresearch.org] On Behalf Of Carey Nadeau Sent: Thursday, March 27, 2014 2:36 PM To: xxxxxx@lists.healthresearch.org Subject: Re: [RESADM-L] How to deal with minor NIH format deviations? Janet-I didn't care as much about it until I had a PI have his NGA delayed for a publication languishing in the system. That was no fun! You actually can have someone from your institution sign on as your institutional PubMed monitor, which has been helpful for us. You get more access to which publications are languishing in the system. http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/utils/pacm/ Overall, it's a good thing--everyone should see/benefit what happens from federally funded research programs, right? But it can also be obnoxiously bureaucratic. Hi Diana, The PMCID number (PubMed Central reference number) is used at the end of citations. These must be used by anyone submitting an application, proposal or report to the NIH when citing applicable papers that they author or that arise from their NIH-funded research. I’ve included a link which goes into more detail if interested. http://publicaccess.nih.gov/citation_methods.htm Best, Angie Rossbach Grants Coordinator Research & Sponsored Programs University of Toledo-HSC 419-383-4252 Fax: 419-383-4262 ====================================================================== Instructions on how to use the RESADM-L Mailing List, including subscription information and a web-searchable archive, are available via our web site at http://www.healthresearch.org (click on the "LISTSERV" link in the upper right corner) A link directly to helpful tips: http://tinyurl.com/resadm-l-help ====================================================================== ====================================================================== Instructions on how to use the RESADM-L Mailing List, including subscription information and a web-searchable archive, are available via our web site at http://www.healthresearch.org (click on the "LISTSERV" link in the upper right corner) A link directly to helpful tips: http://tinyurl.com/resadm-l-help ====================================================================== ====================================================================== Instructions on how to use the RESADM-L Mailing List, including subscription information and a web-searchable archive, are available via our web site at http://www.healthresearch.org (click on the "LISTSERV" link in the upper right corner) A link directly to helpful tips: http://tinyurl.com/resadm-l-help ====================================================================== ====================================================================== Instructions on how to use the RESADM-L Mailing List, including subscription information and a web-searchable archive, are available via our web site at http://www.healthresearch.org (click on the "LISTSERV" link in the upper right corner) A link directly to helpful tips: http://tinyurl.com/resadm-l-help ======================================================================
