Additional Compensation for Salaried Staff Lawrence Waxler 18 Mar 2014 13:04 EST

We’re getting so good at doing more and more with less and less -
pretty soon we’ll be able to do everything with nothing!

With the downsizing that we are going through due to State budget cuts,
Federal budget cuts, sequestration, continuing resolutions, etc., we
have salaried staff who are beginning to request additional compensation
for long hours. While I understand the Federal Circulars and University
policy, to some extent these seem to be unusual times which I hope we
get over someday.

Are any of you seeing the same and, if so, how are you addressing it?
How flexible are you and what is allowable within your institutional
policy?

Larry
