Well...... not to sound suspicious, but why were the items not purchased using the universitiy's purchase card and delivered to the PI's university address?

Greetings!

For faculty with external grant funds, can you tell me if your institution prohibits making a reimbursement made on a personal credit card? For example, books or a digital camera related to the research was purchased on Amazon and delivered to the PI's home. Invoice was submitted and denied because it was not delivered to institution and did not go through the purchase order process.
