Yes, the summer stipend proposal is submitted by the individual. There are step by step guidelines on the NEH website for how the individual registers with grants.gov. However, the individual must be nominated by the institution. Once a proposal is submitted the authorizing official who is identified in the proposal is notified and must acknowledge that the individual was nominated by the institution. We hold an internal competition and select those who can submit, since each institution can only nominate 2.

Try MD-006. For some reason, the first space will accept two digits, but the second time around it wants three.

Here is a completely out-there question.

I have an NEH application. There are two different spots where I have to put our Congressional District. In the first I put MD-06, which it accepted just fine. In the second I put MD-06, which is rejects at not valid. MD06 does not work either.

Any ideas? It is a required field.
