Arizona State University is currently seeking to fill the following position. JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Research Advancement Administrator Job ID: 25711 Location: Polytechnic (Mesa) Full/Part Time: Full-Time Regular/Temporary: Regular -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- College/Division: College of Technology and Innovation Scope of Search: Open to Public Posted Rate of Pay: $42,000 - $52,000 per year; DOE I. Duties and Responsibilities Under administrative direction, the incumbent has primary responsibility for assisting the College of Technology and Innovation (CTI) faculty and researchers in the development, preparation, and submission of proposals for external funding to various funding agencies. This includes: identifying prospective funding sources; assisting faculty in proposal preparation; developing complex budgets; resolving issues related to conflict of interest, cost sharing, subcontracting, and intellectual property; reviewing proposals for compliance with sponsor requirements. This position works with other Research Advancement Staff in CTI and the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects Administration (ORSPA) staff. The incumbent advises and instructs faculty and staff on appropriate guidelines and university policy and fosters a supportive environment to increase the number and frequency of proposal submissions. Performs other duties as assigned. DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM II. Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in a related field and four (4) years of experience, in a field appropriate to the area/unit of assignment; OR, eight (8) years of related administrative experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. III. Desired Qualifications Demonstrated experience with: proposal preparation with Grants.gov and Fastlane; proposal preparation strategies; budget development; searching for funding opportunities; Federal Acquisition Requirements; query database systems; producing reports. Experience in: developing and submitting proposals to multiple funding agencies including, but not limited to NSF, NIH, DOE, DOD, other local and federal agencies and private foundations; analyzing and interpreting documents, reviewing and understanding requests for proposals (RFP) and contracts; meeting deadlines for multiple projects; multitasking while producing accurate output; using Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); using Adobe Acrobat; developing and maintaining effective professional working relationships, conducting training and workshops in the aspects of proposal submission. Effective written and verbal communication skills. IV.
