Re: Grants.gov training for faculty Susan Meslang 08 Nov 2005 16:15 EST

I would be interested in what ever you end up putting together. I to
need to develop some type of training and guidelines - so anything you
get I would love to have. thanks.

How is everyone handling faculty training on Grants.gov?
Right now we've assembled some information on our website
and are meeting with investigators who plan to submit this way...
but it's difficult to organize some generic training in a workshop
setting
due to the fact that the various agencies require various forms and
methods
of submitting the application materials.

I'm hesitant to do a general workshop showing one set of screens, only
to have the faculty member see a different set when they prepare the
proposal.
Organizing by sponsor is an option, but I've seen different
requirements
that way too.

Previously, assistance on a case-by-case basis has worked...but with
more
agencies
using Grants.gov... training for a wider audience is needed. Any ideas
?
As always, thanks,
Terri
