At the University of Cincinnati Graduate Assistantships are taxed as
compensation, Graduate Fellows are not taxed, tuition assistance/remission
is not taxed. This is true for all funds not just sponsored.

Subject: [RESADM-L] student tuition remission

I would appreciate your responses to the following. How do you treat
graduate and undergraduate student tuition remission or gradudate
assistantships that are grant funded?
Specifically, are these monies taxed by the university?

Thanks so much

Mary
