Contracts and Grants Accounting at Auburn University. We have received

DIRECTOR OF CONTRACTS AND GRANTS ACCOUNTING
Auburn University seeks experienced professional for the position of
Director, Contracts and Grants Accounting. The Director is responsible for
providing leadership and oversight of the post-award administration of
sponsored projects, including accounting and reporting functions,
establishing procedures and support systems to ensure compliance with
sponsors' policies and requirements, and billings to sponsors and
management of related accounts receivable. The Director oversees the
development of the University's indirect cost proposal and distribution of
recoveries, and serves as liaison for external audits of contracts and grants.
The successful candidate must have a bachelors degree in accounting with a
minimum of seven years of related experience. A strong working knowledge
of federal and nonfederal regulations governing contract and grants
activity, with demonstrated proficiency in A-21, A-110, A-133 and Cost
Accounting Standards, is required. The candidate should also have
supervisory experience, preferably in a research university; strong
experience in PC based spreadsheets and database software; demonstrated
communication skills; and the ability to work effectively with faculty,
staff and sponsor agencies. A CPA certificate and/or masters degree is
desirable.
