Manager, Grants Accounting and Analysis
There is a regular, full time position available for a Manager of Grants
Accounting and Analysis in the Office of Sponsored Programs. This position
manages all sponsored program budget and accounting operations, supervising
a staff of three that handles all grant budgeting, accounting and
post-award administrative functions. Position will develop and oversee
processes to provide quality support to researchers as well as comply with
federal and other regulations. In this capacity position will provide
information and counsel to Scientific Staff members in the financial
administration of their programs. In addition this position is
responsible for oversight of automated systems supporting sponsored program
accounting and information management. Responsibilities will include
development and management of office specific database systems as well as
report development and systems interface management. This position will
serve as primary liaison to Financial Services, Computing, and other
administrative departments on all sponsored program accounting/systems
issues. In this capacity position will serve as a key team member in the
implementation of a new accounting/grants management system. Additionally
this position will oversee the integration of financial information
required for the federally mandated ERA (Electronic Research
Administration) initiative. A degree in accounting or advanced degree is
required as well as demonstrated experience in the development and
management of multi-user financial and business information systems.
Applicant must have a strong background in fund accounting principles and
sponsored program accounting. Previous experience in post-award research
administration strongly preferred; CRA certification a definite plus.
Proven managerial experience is essential. Applicant must display strong
interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact
effectively with both internal and external clienteles.
