Thanks to everyone who responded about the release time for IRB
chairs (same could be said for IACUC if that was a major emphasis
on your campus).  Almost everyone asked that I share the results
with the list members.

Thirteen institutions responded (I know, I know....not enough to be
statistically accurate).  Only two provide release time or a portion
of the Chair's salary.  Two others provide other relief in the form of
Graduate Assistant or clerical assistance.  Two others are
currently examining this issue.

So, 2 yes and 11 no.

Again, thanks for helping me gather a quick sense of what's
happening out there.
