Georgetown University Medical Center is seeking a Grants and Contracts
Officer in its Research and Technology Development Services division.
Based in the Office of the Dean of Research and Graduate Education, this
position is responsible for the daily support and review activities for all
research grants and contracts for the Medical Center. This position
reports directly to the Director for the Division.
Responsibilities include working closely with senior level administration
and faculty in the review of terms, conditions, compliance and budget
requirements for federal, commercial and voluntary agency contracts and
grants submitted by the institution to ensure adherence to sponsor and
University policies. The Grants and Contracts Officer will provide advice
in administrative matters relating to funding and award issues for faculty
and staff, and will serve as a resource person for the research staff. In
addition, he/she will serve as a liaison to the University's Office of
Sponsored Accounting.
Qualified applicants should have a bachelor's degree in a related field
with 3-5 years of grants management and contract experience, preferably in
an academic setting. Expertise and experience in Federal regulations is a
prerequisite. Salary is $35,000+, depending upon level of experience. An
