We're preaward only and report to an academic VP--actually the VP for
sponsored research. There's a postaward only office that reports to the
financial VP. Once a month the sponsored research VP chairs a meeting
with the directors of both those offices plus folks from institutional
advancement; this group is called the council on sponsored programs. On a
day-to-day basis it works well because of extremely cordial relationships
between the directors of the various offices.
