DePaul University, the midwest's largest Catholic university, has an opening for a Post-Award Coordinator in the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research. Reporting to the Director, the Post-Award Coordinator will supervise one permanent staff member. The Coordinator will monitor all grant awards and assist project directors with grant management in accordance with agency and university guidelines and in collaboration with the grant accounting staff in the Controller's Office. Other duties include overseeing set-up of accounts, maintaining award data, and negotiating subcontracts and research agreements. The Coordinator will also be responsible to update and maintain the DePaul University Handbook of Grants Management and to coordinate training workshops for grantees. DePaul University's grant activity has increased in five years from $5 million to over $20 million in external awards. Qualified applicants should have at least 3-5 years of grant management experience in a university or granting agency. A BA/BS degree is required, with courses or experience in accounting, financial management or public administration. A higher degree or equivalent advanced experience is preferred. Applicants must demonstrate familiar with federal financial and regulatory compliance documents, including but not limited to, OMB circulars A-110, A-133, A-21, CFDA, EDGAR, and NSF and NIH policy manuals. Familiarity with an academic environment is required, along with the ability to work with a diverse clientele that includes administrators, faculty and staff, in a highly professional manner. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a team-oriented environment are essential qualities for the successful applicant.
