Position Opportunity: Administrative Manager I Division of Radiation Oncology City of Hope Are you interested in an exciting opportunity at The City of Hope? Located approximately 15 miles east of Los Angeles, City of Hope is one of only 35 American institutions which has received National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center. We are internationally recognized for both our quality of patient care and our innovative clinical and basic research programs. We are looking for an Administrative Manager who will report directly to the Chair of the Division of Radiation Oncology with responsibility for managing the Division's business operations in clinical and laboratory research. The Division supports clinical and laboratory activities in the area of $3 million annually and involves approximately 25 employees. Research sponsors include intramural and extramural sources, and projects include clinical trials involving research subject participation, as well as basic research projects for fundamental discoveries. This is a high visibility position with a great deal of autonomy for planning and managing support for the research infrastructure and individual research projects. Responsibilities include research resource planning, budgeting and financial management, supervision of administrative personnel, and facilities management. It includes budgetary and administrative management of clinical trials and a multi-faceted program project grant. We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration or life sciences (or equivalent) with at least two years experience, preferably in the area of grant administration in a biomedical academic environment. Proven administrative, financial, organizational, interpersonal, supervisory and problem solving skills are essential.
