I'd be interested in hearing what procedures others have in place to screen applicants for employment for such things as debarment/suspension and default on student loans. We have nothing in place currently, and unfortunately have learned our lesson on a recent employee. Do you check databases and/or require written certification from them? Do your HR offices conduct the screening or someone in the research branch/division? What other things should we be screening for? If someone has a written procedure, I'd love to see it. Thanks in advance for your help!
