Bill,
MCWIRB is now on the web, and the information you're seeking can be
obtained at
http://www.mcw.edu/mcwirb/index.html
As for information about the history of human subjects, you might look at
OPRR's
IRB Guidebook, also available on the web at
http://www.nih.gov/grants/oprr/irb/irb_guidebook.htm. The "Introduction"
link on
this page will take you to a brief discussion of the history of humans
subject
research regulation, and the end of this section (as well as other sections
in
the book) you will find a bibliography, with citations of related
publications.
Perhaps one of these will be useful for your colleague.

RESADMers--
A colleague is looking for articles or books about the history
of ethics regarding human subjects research in this century and in this
country as well as others. Anybody have any suggestions?
Also, could someone send me the address and instructions for the IRB list?
I'll forward it to my colleague and encourage him to sign up for a few
days,
those folks should be able to tell him a lot.
Regards, Bill Campbell
