The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of
Illinois at
Chicago seeks qualified candidates for Assistant Director, Office for
Protection
from Research Risks (OPRR). The OPRR=s primary function is to monitor and
regulate federal compliance in the areas of human, animal and rDNA research.
Incumbent must understand complex federal regulations and have the ability to
secure the cooperation of University faculty and staff. Must possess
excellent
writing skills, broad research knowledge, and understanding of federal
research
regulations or research ethics in the specialized area of human, animal and
rDNA research. A minimum of a Master=s Degree and five years experience are
required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in
monitoring
and management of research risks in an academic setting.
