Monthly research newsletters -Reply

I too would be most interested in the replies you receive. I wonder
if it would be better not to do a monthly issue only do a newsletter
when there is interesting and/or important information to pass on.
So, some months you may have no newsletter and at other times you may
have two, even three - mostly very short, and always to the point
"news bulletins". Any impressions on this concept? Would it suffice?

Hi everyone --
I am in the process of trying to make our Sponsored Research
newsletter more
"fun" to read. Is there anyone out there doing a monthly newsletter
who
would be willing to share what they are doing with me? (Especially if
you
think yours is very successful!) Right now, our newsletter is a
mechanism
to tell faculty what proposals and awards have happened during the
month,
perhaps a funding agency announcement or two, some agency news if any.
I
want to create an environment that truly fosters research, proposal
development, etc. And I'd like to make it something that people look
forward to receiving. What has worked for you?
If you are willing to share, can you send a copy of one of your recent
newsletters to my address below? Thanks.
- Mary
