a wide array of financial and consulting services for the past 30 years.
Our services focus on improving our clients' performance, supporting grants
management operations, providing package implementation solutions and
integrating enterprise-wide technologies.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job Title:  Grant Accountant

Basic Function and Responsibility

Responsible for post award grants accounting activities.  These activities
include expenditure reconciliation and analysis, preparation of financial
reports, and ensuring sponsor compliance.

Job Responsibilities

*       Review and reconcile post award expenditures.

*       Review expenditures for compliance with sponsor regulations.

*       Prepare closeout and submission of FSR's and other sponsor required
reports to sponsoring agencies.

*       Review cash transaction reports for NIH, NSF, etc.

*       Assist in Letter of Credit drawdown process.

*       Review and process cost transfer requests.

*       Work with University departmental support staff on grant accounting
issues.

*       Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:      Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance,
Accounting, or related field or equivalent education and experience

Experience:     Prefer two years accounting experience at a non-profit or
academic research institution.  Post-award administration experience
preferred.
 Working knowledge of federal financial reporting requirements and
NIH/NSF Quarterly cash transaction reports.
 Working knowledge of OMB Circular A-110 and A-21

Other:  Ability to use desktop computer.
 Working knowledge of spreadsheets
 Ability to work with minimum supervision.
 Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
