SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for account coordination, liaison and
representation among several of our most active projects. The Senior
Administrator is responsible for fund management of approximately $8
million in award budgets including development of sophisticated budget
projections to coordinate funding sources for project personnel and
other long term expenditure activity. They will provide daily review
and approval of expenditure activity (personnel, travel, equipment,
consultant agreements, stipends, etc.) in accordance with a variety of
sponsoring agency guidelines; writes and administers subcontracts;
maintains cost-sharing documentation; monitors status of financial
reports and monitors cash position of awards. Initiates, advises and
assists project directors in problem resolutions involving all aspects
of grant administration. This position involves a high level of
independent activity supported by a successful track record of years of
experience in the field of grants administration.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelors degree and five years closely
related experience in Business Administration, Accounting or Public
Administration. Superior written and verbal communications skills are
needed. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to be
flexible and work effectively in a time-sensitive atmosphere. They must
also posses advanced knowledge of P.C. based computing applications.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of federal regulations related to
research administration, including OMB A-21, OMB A-110, Federal
Acquisition Regulations and major federal funding agency guidelines.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and
cooperatively with co-workers, managers, faculty and Foundation
representatives are critical to the success of the Senior Administrator.
