Requires at least five years experience in generating, supervising, and
executing sponsored programs in a university or other nonprofit setting.
Needs excellent communication and presentation skills, and strong
leadership, facilitative and quantitative skills. Master's degree
required, doctoral degree preferred, as is a combination of industry and
academic experience.
Incumbent is responsible for providing research services to internal and
external constitutiencies of The Uiversity of Alabama and will act as a
facilitator in the development of external contracts and grants.
Incumbent will administer the Center for Business and Economic Research
(CBER), and its reporting divisions, and will direct CBER economic
forecasting. Position is also responsible for coordinating cooperative
outreach/research activities with other UA divisions, and may teach one
course per year in the incumbent's academic specialty.
