PROJECT OFFICER

Pay Range: $34,000 -$46,000 per year
JOB SUMMARY: The Project Officer acts as a liaison between Grants &
Contracts and University-wide/Health Sciences Departmental offices.
The incumbent reports to the Deputy Director and his/her team leader.
The PO procures and disseminates information as to the
funding opportunities, new regulations and guidelines of external
funding agencies. Extensive contact with external agencies. Helps
departments to plan a grants & contracts strategy particularly with
regard to young investigators. Assist Principal Investigators and
Department Chairpersons/Administrators in accounting procedures,
utilization of awards funds and requests to funding agencies. Assist
in the development and review of grant applications, contract
proposals and other related documents to assure adherences to
University and Agency policies.
QUALIFICATIONS: B.A. or B.S. Degree plus two years of related
experience. Familiarity with computers, methods of accounting,
policies and procedures. Familiarity with government and
non-government funding agencies and their policies. Highly
developed mathematical skills are desirable.
