Pay Range: $14.48 -$21.72/Hr.

JOB SUMMARY: The Grant Specialist (GS) reports to the Senior
Grant and Contract Officer and functions as an
integral part of the Grant and Contract Services (GCS) team.
The GS provides quality service support to Investigators and
staff in the preaward, pending, postaward, and close out
aspects of grant and contract administration..  Duties are
designed to meet the objectives of the CSRI strategic plan
and to ensure that CSRI research administration conforms to
policy and agency regulation.  Therefore, the GS is
responsible for accuracy and complete information on
correspondence and inclusion of all appropriate documents
and forms in legal files in order to meet audit
requirements.  Maintenance of the grant and contract
database and report production are major responsibilities of
this position as this is the basis for management decisions
and reporting.  Growth is expected in the area of electronic
research administration.  This position maybe cross trained
and assigned to assist the IRB, IACUC, or other areas in the
Department.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES: Entry level position
with growth expected.  Qualifications include a BA or
equivalent experience including 1 to 2 years in a business
office, strong written and oral communication skills,
analytical ability, math skills, computer literacy, and the
ability to make independent judgments.  Abilities to meet
production within established time and quality standards.
Demonstrates respect and positive interpersonal skills with
patients, clients, the public, managers, and co-workers.
Maintains confidentiality of patient care and business
matters.  Observes time, attendance, and dress code
standards.  Protects the safety of others and of the
physical plant and equipment, following fire, safety and
infection control regulations.
