POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
TITLE: GRANTS MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR
CATEGORY: Associate Staff, full time, 12 month appointment
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assume responsibility for a wide range of research
administration duties for a number of academic units. Areas of
responsibility include pre-proposal, proposal and budget preparation,
post-award grant and contract administration, subcontracting, and
related problem-solving duties.
QUALIFICATIONS: Baccalaureate required and at least three years
experience in similar work demonstrating increasing levels of
responsibility, and ability to work independently.
Should have knowledge of Federal regulations and statutes, invention and
copyright issues, operating principles of research grant and contract
clauses suitable for a university, and ability to negotiate successfully
with external and interal clientele.
Must have excellent proficiency in communication skills, interpersonal
skills, ability to reconcile differeing viewpoints, and ability to
function effectively in periodic crisis environments.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
