POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Title: GRANTS ELECTRONIC RESEARCH ADMINISTRATION (ERA) COORDINATOR
Category:: Associate Staff, full time, 12-month appointment
Responsibilities: Assume responsibilities for information management,
using the WWW, mainframe databases, and internal and external electronic
research information sources. This position has an emphasis on grants
development, faculty and staff technical training (including NSF FastLane
and emerging Federal ERA systems), and responsive customer service.
Qualifications: Baccalaureate required and at least three years
experience in similar work demonstrating increasing levels of
responsibility, and ability to work independently.
Must have knowledge of database use and management; Internet skills such
as HTML, FTP, Gopher and e-mail; grant development processes; Federal
regulations, principles of research grant and contract clauses, and
ability to negotiate intelligently with external and internal clientele.
Should have excellent proficiency in communication skills, interpersonal
skills, ability to reconcile differing viewpoints, and ability to
function effectively in periodic crisis environments.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
