Funding Specialist and Information Officer

Washington University's Research Office is seeking an individual to become
the Funding Specialist and Information Officer for the University research
community.  The essential duties of this position are:  Monitoring the
funding programs and policies of federal and private sponsors and
effectively disseminating that information; designing training for faculty
and administrators in the use of  web resources, including on-line
databases and federal agency pages; and directing the development and
expansion of the Research Office web site.

The successful candidate will design and implement a plan to bring funding
news and grant management assistance to the desktops of faculty and
administrators, with his/her role established as trainer, consultant, and
liaison.

Minimum requirements are a bachelor degree, three years experience in
research administration, excellent abilities in writing and speaking, and
expertise in electronic communication, databases and using the WWW.
