Research Admin Certification -Reply Jennifer Morgan 09 Jun 1998 14:37 EST

We have a certification program at our institution for a Certificate in
Sponsored Projects Management. A series of classes are presented
throughout the academic year on a variety of topics related to sponsored
projects management. Participants in the program can take classes that
are relevant to their interests (such as Animal Use in Research, Writing
Compelling Budget Justifications, Using the Internet of Funding Searches,
Basic PHS 398 Application Preparation, Conflict of Interest, etc.) After
completing 12 classes, the participants are eligible for the Certificate
which is presented by the Vice Provost at a luncheon.
The program is open to all, even those who are not currently working in
research administration, but would like to cross train to enhance their skill
set.
Anyone living in the Pittsburgh area interested in attending classes and
earning the certificate who is welcome to attend. The classes are
offered as a service of the university and there is no charge for the
classes at the present time.
