Last year, the National Science Foundation ran its first Integrative
 Graduate Research and Education Training (IGERT) competition. It
 required preproposals, then invited full proposals. If your institution
 made it to the invitation stage, I'd appreciate receiving a copy of your
 preproposal. I'm especially interested in those combining
 electrical/computer engineering, mechanical engineering, and/or physics
