Assistant Director, Research Office

Washington University's Research Office is seeking an Assistant Director.
The Research Office provides pre-award, and non-financial post-award,
research administration services and acts as the University's
representative on research matters.  The essential functions of this
position are to support the Director in the oversight of the daily
operations of the Research Office, provide expertise in reporting
functions, and assist in the management of contracts and awards on the main
campus.

The successful candidate will possess significant experience in the
administration of sponsored programs. A working knowledge of a broad range
of agencies is necessary.  An understanding of the university research
environment and the service role of research administration is critical. A
BA is required (master's preferred). Other desirable qualifications include
strong database and Internet skills and excellent interpersonal and
communication skills.
