Survey--donated technologies Michael Odza 27 Mar 1998 08:24 EST

Dear Friends,

Have you donated or considered donating patents or other intellectual
property to a not-for-profit organization? Or have you been offered such
donations, or would you consider accepting them? If so, the Center for
Technology Commercialization of Westborough, MA, and Technology Access
Report would like to hear from you, as part of a special study they are
conducting.

Participants in the study will receive a copy of the final survey
results, although all identifying information received will be treated
confidentially. We will also post an abstract on techno-l.

A recent example of such a donation was Allied Signal's gift of several
related metallurgy patents to the University of Virginia.

We are interested in hearing from companies and institutions with
experience (good, bad or otherwise) in comparable transactions, and from
companies and institutions that might be interested in the future.

Contact Michael Odza, as below, or Jim Dunn, Co-Executive Director and
CTO, Center for Technology Commercialization, 508/870-0042,
xxxxxx@ctc.org.

Thanks!
