Hello,

I haven't been keeping up with the list lately, so I apologize if this
topic has been addressed already. I am wondering if other schools, in
particular, are treating stipends to students under the NSF Research
Experiences for Undergraduates program as wages or as scholarships.  NSF
guidelines say these payments can be treated either way, and tax
withholding implications are different depending on how the stipends are
treated.  Thanks for any info.
