I recently attended a proposal writing workshop in Houston conducted by the
Grantsmanship Training Center, which was very helpful. The GTC has a
national reputation and offers workshops for non-profits throughout the
country. (They are based in California.) I chose the 3-day workshop that
concentrated on proposal writing, but they also offer a 5-day workshop that
