DIRECTOR OF MANAGEMENT OPERATIONS

The University of Texas - Houston Medical School is seeking a chief
departmental business officer for the Department of Microbiology,
Director I, Management Operations.  This position is responsible for the
day-to-day administrative and financial management of a basic science
department. The ideal candidate will possess prior administrative
experience within a basic science department, as well as excellent
communication and interpersonal skills in addition to demonstrated
management and grant administration expertise.  Preference will be given
to individuals with biomedical research management background.

Requirements include a Bachelor s degree in a related field with 7 years
of applicable experience.  Prefer a Master s degree in business, public
administration or health care administration and a minimum of 5 years
related work experience.  Previous grant administration experience,
preferably within a biomedical academic institution, and proven
supervisory skills preferred.
