DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
RESEARCH FOUNDATION

The Ohio State University Research Foundation, Columbus, Ohio, is currently
accepting applications for Deputy Executive Director. The purpose of the
Research Foundation is to aid in the development, administration, and
promotion of sponsored research programs with federal, state, and private
agencies for The Ohio State University. Currently, The Ohio State
University ranks 19th in the Nation in total research expenditures and 7th
in expenditures from funding from business and industry.  The Deputy
Executive Director is assigned responsibility for assisting the Executive
Director with the general management of the Research Foundation in the
establishment of strategic objectives and priorities.  The Deputy Executive
Director is responsible for the daily oversight of all administrative
divisions of the Research Foundation as they discharge their responsibility
to develop and continuously improve services provided to our customers. The
Deputy Executive Director should have a graduate degree, preferably in
business administration/management sciences, with a background in science
or engineering, or an equivalent combination of such education and
experience. The successful candidate should have management and
administrative experience at a large university or corporation.  Experience
is desired in grant and contract administration, technology transfer,
fiscal services, and research regulatory and compliance strategies. Highly
desired is experience with and knowledge of the installation and management
of computerized information and data management systems.  Salary is
