The Institutional Review Board (IRB) Coordinator is responsible for
oversight, administration and coordination of policies and procedures
related to the protection of the rights and welfare of human subjects in
research and to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local
regulations, and applicable policies.

 Qualificatio=
ns:

A.        Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state regulations governing
participation of human
subjects in research.

B.      Working knowledge of scientific and medical concepts and
terminology to properly review  research proposals. Clinical background
preferred.

C.      Experience with IRB protocol process or dealing with human subjects
in research.

D.      Demonstrated familiarity with computerized databases, word
processing, in a Macintosh or Windows environment.

E.      Demonstrated ability to write clear, precise, detailed,
comprehensive and grammatically correct technical letters, memos, reports
and training materials.

=46.      Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to work
effectively with investigators and research staff, committee members, IRB
chairpersons, senior administrators and federal oversight agencies.

G.      Demonstrates initiative and ability for creative and innovative
thinking.

H..     Bachelor=B9s degree or equivalent combination of education,
experience or training.  RN or Master=B9s degree or equivalent preferred.
