Following is contact information and a summary from the Northern California
Chapter of the ARCS Foundation. Maybe you can contact them and get
information about other chapters. The Northern California chapter has
supported students from 8 campuses (Stanford University; University of
California: Berkeley, San Francisco, Davis, and Santa Cruz; University of
San Francisco; San Francisco State University; and San Jose State
University). Hope this helps.

ARCS Foundation (Achievement Rewards for College Scientists) provides funds
for scholarships to deserving graduate and undergraduate students in the
fields of natural science, medicine, and engineering.

The 200 women of the Northern California Chapter of ARCS are all volunteers
who raise funds among themselves, their friends, and the community at large.
As all expenses and services are donated or covered by dues, 100 percent of
all contributions go directly to the scholars.

ARCS was formed in 1958 in Los Angeles as a non-profit organization. From a
single chapter it has gown into a national organization with 13 chapters. . . .

The scholarship program is administered by the recipient academic
institutions which have been approved by the ARCS National Board. Students
receiving scholarship awards are chosen by their professors. They must have
a high scholastic record (GPA 3.5 or better), proven ability in a scientific
field and be citizens of the United States. Selection of the students is
made by the school without regard to race, gender or religion.
