This question is a bit off the common path for this list, but I thought you
might be able to help me.  As Vice Provost for Research at my institution, I am
responsible for carrying out periodic external reviews of our free-standing
research/public service institutes.  Currently, I am planning a review of
the Trotter Institute, a center focusing on black studies issues, boardly
defined.  I am interested in gathering information about other "Black Studies"
research centers.  If your university has such a center could be email me
privately?  Is there an association of such centers or published listing of
these centers in the US?
