Hello All,

I'm not sure if this issue has come of late on the list.  One of our
investigators here has submitted a grant application to a private foundation
via FedEx.  The due date was this afternoon (15 August 1997).  The overload
from the UPS strike has caused FedEx to miss the delivery deadline.  We are
not sure where the package is as of this posting.  Tracking it over the www
has been unsuccessful.  The foundation has said we have until Monday to
deliver the grant IF we provide a copy of the shipping bill.

My question si this:  Anyone out there know some really fancy verbage for
getting the foundation to extend the deadline?
