POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
TITLE: Grants Management Specialist
CATEGORY: Associate Staff, full time, 12-month appointment
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assume responsibility for the full range of research
administration duties including pre-proposal, proposal and budget
preparation, post-award grant and contract administration,
subcontracting, and related problem-solving duties.
QUALIFICATIONS: Baccalaureate requried and at least three years
experience in similar work demonstrating increasing levels of
responsibility, and ability to work independently.
Should have knowledge of Federal regulations and statutes, invention and
copyright issues, operating principles of research grant and contract
clauses suitable for a university, and ability to negotiate effectively
with external and internal clientele.
Must have excellent proficiency in communication skills, interpersonal
skills, ability to reconcile differing viewpoints, and ability to
function effectively in periodic crisis environments.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications
POSITION AVAILABLE: Immediately
