POSITION TITLE: DATABASE COORDINATOR
Grade: 54
The Database Coordinator has responsibility for the input of the
Office of Research Affairs (ORA) database information. In this
capacity, the Database Coordinator will review sponsor and internal
documents and, in turn, enter the appropriate information from these
documents into the database. The Database Coordinator will also serve
as backup in the absense of the Database Manager for all
non-supervisory functions. The minimum requirements for the position
include: bachelor's degree and at least one year experience in a
research administration environment or the equivalent experience;
advanced computer skills; excellent interpersonal skills; ability to
work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet
deadlines; strong team orientation; must be detail oriented and have
good analytic skills.
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
-Support and backup the Database Manager
-Develop excellent working knowledge of database and user
requirements.
-Review sponsor and internal documents; input relevant information
into database
-Coordinate with Database Manager and ORA staff to meet required
report deadlines.
-Interact with all ORA staff, support departments, research
departments, and sponsors as required.
-Distribute database output to end-users.
-Assist in the creation and maintenance of a user manual.
-Participate in special projects.
Salary Range: $25,900 - $40,300
