Applications and nominations for the position of Executive Director of
the Mississippi Space Commerce Initiative (MSCI) and the Remote
Sensing Research Institute for The University of Mississippi (UM) are
invited. The applicant should be a recognized leader in remote sensing
research, with business knowledge and experience and a strong
background in research and research administration, including fiscal,
personnel and scientific management. Requirements include a Ph.D. in
an appropriate discipline, excellent communication skills, and a
demonstrated commitment to multi-disciplinary research.

The MSCI, devoted to developing, further attracting, and
commercializing the remote sensing industry in Mississippi and the
nation, is supported by NASA and the State of Mississippi. The
MSCI will bring private industry, governmental agencies, the State
of Mississippi, and universities into a partnership to advance remote
sensing research, aid in the development and marketing of commercial
applications, and facilitate immediate, strong remote sensing industry
growth in Mississippi and the U.S.
