The Office of the vice PRovost for Research at the Health Sciences Center of Te
Temple University seeks a coordinator for the Institutional Review Board
(IRB).  This position includes responsibility for the oversight, implementation
and management of policies and procedures related to the protection of the
rights and welfare of human subjects and for ensuring the University's
compliance with all federal, state and University regulations and policies
related to human subjects.

Candidates should have a BA/BS in biomedical sciences, related field or
equivalent education.  Master's degree preferred.  Understanding of ethical
principles and federal regulations governing human subjects research, a working
knowledge of medical and scientific conceps and terminology and management
experience are also required.  Previous IRB experience is highly desirable.
In addition, the incumbent should have writing, proofreading, interpersonal,
and computer skills, and be highly organized, and detail oriented.
