Pre-Award Research Administrator
The University of Massachusetts Lowell Research Foundation seeks a
Grants and Contracts Administrator. The person in this position will be
involved in all aspects of the pre-award application process including:
1) identifying funding opportunities and distributing funding
information; 2) advising faculty on application development per
sponsor's guidelines; 3) reviewing applications for regulatory
compliance; 4) reviewing budgets for accuracy and adherence to
institutional and sponsor requirements.
Qualifications include: 1) bachelor's degree, MS preferred in science or
engineering; 2) three to five years experience in research
administration with experience in funding source identification,
proposal development, review and submission procedures for NIH, NSF,ONR
and industry; 3) working knowledge of budgetary and compliance
requirements of major funding agencies; 4) computer experience and
Internet skills; 5) excellent writing and communication skills; 6)
analytical skills with the ability to interact with individuals at
multiple levels and disciplines and to coordinate and direct multiple
projects simultaneously.
