GRANTS AND CONTRACTS SPECIALIST
Dynamic nonprofit public health research organization seeks a full-time
experienced research administrator to join its staff in Berkeley. The
Grants & Contracts Specialist interacts extensively with both funding
agencies and program staff, and handles post-award activities including
review and approval of project expenses and deliverables, preparation
and monitoring of subawards, financial analyses, continuation and
supplemental award applications for projects from a variety of funding
sources, including Federal, State and other agencies. Familiarity with
human subjects research and IRB issues an advantage.
Requirements: Bachelor#s degree and 2 years# experience in grants and
contracts (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Must
have experience managing awards in a nonprofit or university
grants/sponsored projects office; knowledge of NIH and other federal
and state research and program management policies; excellent verbal
and written communications skills, ability to work under pressure, meet
deadlines and be detail oriented. Working experience with Lotus and
WordPerfect software in a Windows PC environment is preferred. Valid
driver#s license and satisfactory driving record is required. Salary
$2,667-$2,940/month (DOE) with an excellent benefits package. Please
